Weibel has recently launched XENTA - a new Surveillance Radar for Short Range Air Defence (SHORAD) and C-UAS applications. XENTA is a state-of-the-art X-Band FMCW sensor system, developed for high-performance 3D air surveillance of all types of air threats. Since its launch, XENTA has quickly gained market share and Weibel now needs to ramp up the Product Management team to meet the growing demand for our radars. Your role and responsibilities As a Product Manager in the Surveillance Radar domain, you will join a growing XENTA Product and Sales team focusing on taking Weibel’s new Surveillance sensors to the market. The role will include close collaboration with the Sales team, Bid-management as well as our Engineering domain. The Product Manager is a vital link between the engineering and sales domain, as well as a key person understanding and translating Customer needs into new features and product definitions. The position will require a high level of self-drive and require you to take ownership of tasks related to RFI/RFQ scope, accurate technical data, market and competitor understanding through timely and high-quality deliveries, and to be an active part of the engineering workstreams within the Agile development framework. Main responsibilities: Drive product Roadmap stakeholder management Drive Product Specifications and Requirements for each product-line Actively work with engineering Solutions Architects in providing operational context and priorities of future capabilities Develop technical descriptions for existing or new scope Represent Product Management at project events such as PDR, and CDR Prepare Product Requirement specifications and Statement of Works for third-party components Technically supporting proposals from commencement of bid through to contract Prepare RFI/RFQ Technical Responses Liaison with Bid management and Engineering for timely submission of technical scope Support planning and Execution of product field Demonstrations Marketing planning, including mapping of relevant market segments and definition of success criteria for target segments Travel up to 50 days per year can be expected. Your qualifications and background You have prior experience in Product Management and/or relevant Engineering discipline Proven track record in the Defence Industry is an advantage Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global, and complex environment Experience with sensor systems, preferably radars Experience with, or strong interest in working within a Product Sales Organization Ability to juggle multiple tasks whilst maintaining sight or overview on important details Ability to prioritize and manage many immediate requests Strong team player Time management skills, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow up English at negotiation level is a must (spoken and written) The position will require security clearance, and a criminal record with no remarks.
