Summary
Teach and evaluate truck drivers in Houston using Schneider’s training systems and DOT standards, ensuring safe driving practices and compliance.
Job responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and onboard new drivers.
- Perform hands-on training in the classroom and in the truck.
- Train drivers on safety, hours of service, trip-planning, workflow, tablet, policies and procedures.
- Act as a safety advocate and driver retention ambassador for the organization.
- Teach driving skills that align with Schneider’s guidelines and materials.
- Show drivers how to use Schneider’s electronic tablets and workflow system.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Evaluate and provide updates on candidates who are not meeting expectations.
- Prepare drivers for a safe and rewarding career at Schneider.
