Tax Accountant | Hull (hybrid) | Up to £50k + 10% bonus

VAT, corporation tax, customs, transfer pricing, CIS, PSA, Plastic Packaging Tax, Pillar 2. If it’s tax, it’s yours.
The business is a PE-backed, multi-site trade business with branches across the UK. It has more than doubled in size in the last few years and is still growing fast. It’s a big business without the corporate feel. Decisions get made quickly and the finance team has a real voice.
What you’d be doing:
Owning tax reporting and compliance across the group
Being the go-to tax person for senior leaders across the branch network
Supporting HMRC Large Business, SAO and the external audit
Improving processes, including automation and AI
What they’re after:
Tax experience in a large, complex business
Strong Excel and ERP skills
Qualified or studying (preferred, not essential)
Someone who can explain tax to people who don’t work in finance
