At Mainder, we are looking for a Tax and Accounting Technician / Audit to join an advisory and audit firm located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, specialized in offering professional advisory and economic-financial review services to companies and external clients.

We are looking for a person with a solid technical foundation, analytical capacity, and the desire to continue developing in a professional environment where service quality, rigor, and closeness to the client are fundamental.

You will join a specialized and collaborative technical team, participating in the accounting and tax management of companies, the analysis of financial information and, depending on your experience, in audit projects.

We are not necessarily looking for a profile that masters all areas. We are interested in both professionals specialized in accounting and taxation as well as profiles with experience in auditing.

What you'll do

Your main objective will be to contribute to ensuring that client companies have reliable accounting and financial information, correctly comply with their tax obligations, and have the necessary technical advice for their activity.

Depending on your experience, you may develop your activity in one or both of the following areas:

What we're looking for

• University degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE), Economics, Finance and Accounting, or related studies.

• Previous professional experience in tax-accounting advisory, auditing, or professional services directed at companies.

• Solid knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, or specific experience in audit work.

• Ability to interpret economic-financial information and identify possible errors, deviations, or areas for improvement.

• Proficiency in office tools and accounting, tax, or audit management software.

• Ability to organize and manage different tasks, clients, and deadlines autonomously.

• Good communication skills and client service orientation.

• Previous experience working in advisory firms, professional offices, or audit firms.

• Complementary knowledge in accounting, taxation, and auditing.

• Experience managing a portfolio of business clients.

📊 Accounting and tax area

• Manage and review the accounting of companies and other clients, ensuring the correct accounting of their operations.

• Prepare and review periodic accounting closings and participate in the preparation of annual accounts.

• Prepare and submit tax returns and other periodic tax obligations.

• Analyze economic-financial information, review accounting balances, and identify possible deviations or incidents.

• Resolve inquiries and provide technical support to clients on accounting and tax matters.

• Monitor accounting and tax obligations, ensuring compliance within the established deadlines.

🔎 Audit area

• Participate in audit work for annual accounts and the review of financial information for client companies.

• Analyze accounting documentation, balances, economic operations, and financial statements.

• Execute audit tests and collaborate in the review of internal control procedures and systems.

• Identify incidents, analyze deviations, and properly document the conclusions obtained.

• Prepare working papers and collaborate in the preparation of audit reports.

• Maintain fluid communication with clients to request documentation, resolve doubts, and follow up on information requirements.
