Tax Advisory - M&A State and Local Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. This role focuses on advising private equity firms, corporate acquirers, and privately held businesses through all phases of the transaction lifecycle, including buy-side and sell-side due diligence, tax structuring, transaction planning, and post-close integration. The ideal candidate combines strong technical state and local tax knowledge with project management skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
Who You Are:
CPA, JD, MST, or equivalent professional credential preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in State and Local Tax, including meaningful M&A due diligence experience.
Experience in public accounting, consulting, or a transaction advisory practice.
Strong technical knowledge across multiple state and local tax disciplines.
Experience managing multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong written communication skills with experience preparing client-ready reports.
Ability to manage multiple engagements in a team environment.
Thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment and readily identify problems and instinctively look for solutions.
Enjoy participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm events.
Ability and desire to travel as needed.
