Description -

Hewlett-Packard s Global Tax organization, with its largest presence around the globe, has a position available in the US Income Tax Compliance & Provision team based out of Bangalore. This key role is critical to the analysis and reporting of our best-in-class tax structure and effective tax rate. This highly visible role will be part of a high-performing team which leads all aspects of US International taxation.
We have developed a global tax strategy to support our rapidly growing businesses. You will be a key part of the US tax group based out of the U.S. and Bangalore-India, providing compliance, consulting and tax provision services. You will lead and implement projects, manage risks and balance business needs, support audits, and build productive working relationships within and without the Company. The HP Tax group provides unique exposure to complex, cutting edge global tax issues.

This position will be involved in:

  • All aspects of U. S. international tax compliance, including earnings & profits calculations, Subpart F computations, foreign tax credit, source of income and allocation & apportionment of expenses, international portions of federal tax return preparation
  • FATCA , FBAR and 1042 , Withholding tax filing
  • Preparing and Reviewing Forms 5471’s/ 8991/8992/8993/1118/8858
  • International tax provision analysis (quarterly and annual), including complex structural and planning transaction analysis, APB 23 analysis, ASC 740, basis and E&P studies, and books basis analysis
  • Participates in various tax planning activities and research including estimated tax forecasts and other projects that involve a high degree of complexity
  • Leads junior level or co-sourced personnel on priority projects in both the tax compliance, planning and tax accounting areas
  • Research and read on complex tax technical issues, U.S tax regulations using tools like checkpoint or BNA
  • Leads ongoing process transformation initiatives
  • Responds to notices from various tax authorities and interacts directly with tax authorities.
  • Works across different functions and levels within the organization

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong MS office and spreadsheet skills (Power BI, Excel, Access)
  • CORPTAX experience a plus
  • US GAAP accounting
  • TAX domain experience a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Collaborative and flexible to complete projects within the company lead deadlines
  • Eager to take on new challenges
  • Excellent project management, communication, problem solving and analytical skills

Preferred Certifications
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Chartered Accountant ( CA)

• MBA
