Teacher Aide Floater (39149)

Summary

The floater oversees the environment in an assigned classroom, assuring child health and safety, helping to support appropriate curriculum, and building positive relationships with children, parents and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Room coverage at lunch, for additional prep/ writing time opportunities and classroom coverage to support students/classrooms having difficulty napping/teachers that are in training and as necessary.
• Office duties, answering phones, reception coverage.
• Maintain classroom management, sanitation and safety and support student transitions
• Provide a normal routine by maintaining daily schedule adherence
• Must keep classroom staff, and school administration informed concerning children, and issues.
• Maintaining the Agency’s policies and procedures
• Attend on-going training
• Additional duties as required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position; days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 25 hours per a week.
