Preschool Teacher Assistant/Full Time with 26 Paid Days off Annually

Monday through Friday 8:45 am – 3:45 pm

$17/hour

Arc Broward is looking for an experienced Teacher Assistant to provide students ages 3 – 5 who have special needs with direct supervision, care, and instruction.

As a Teacher Assistant in our Afterschool program, you will be a valued member of a dedicated and talented team of people while helping preschool students with disabilities learn, grow, play, and thrive!

What are the Responsibilities of a Teacher Assistant?

• Provides direct supervision, care, and teaching to children with Developmental Disabilities
• Ensures a safe, stimulating, nurturing and therapeutic learning environment
• Provides basic care in all areas of hygiene and toileting, as needed
• Engages children in fun, meaningful activities

What are the requirements?

• You have a high school diploma or GED
• You have a minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with children (preferably children with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges)
• You’re a positive, compassionate, and supportive person.
