Teacher Assistant

Springbrook Behavioral Health is seeking a Teacher Assistant to help in our Adolescent Autism unit.

JOB SUMMARY: The School Secretary /Teacher Assistant is to provide support to the teacher who provides daily instruction to the Adolescent School population and serves as an integral member of the Adolescent Program. This position will also cover teachers for treatment teams, meetings, or absences.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: A minimum of a Bachelors Degree.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in teaching students with Special needs and Autism preferred

PHYSICAL: Sedentary work. Required some standing and walking

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates ability to develop and implement lesson plans for various age groups.
