What You'll Do

• Support teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

• Assist with age-appropriate activities that encourage children's growth and development.

• Supervise children and maintain classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization.

• Help monitor attendance, maintain classroom records, and document children's progress.

• Support family engagement, parent communication, and classroom activities.

• Follow Head Start standards, program policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Assist with recruiting eligible children and supporting program requirements.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience.

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.

• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow program policies.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in various program areas as needed.

• Flexibility to work at assigned centers within the Cheaha Regional Head Start/Early Head Start service area.

Schedule & Benefits

• Full-Time Position

• Monday–Friday | No Weekends!

Employment Requirements

Employment is contingent upon required approvals and successful completion of criminal background checks, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry checks, and pre-employment drug screening. Random screening may also be required.

Positions requiring the use of a personal vehicle for agency business have additional age, licensing, insurance, and driving-record requirements.
