Teaching Aide cum Admin Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Laboratory & Makerspace Technical Support:Prepare and set up apparatus, scientific tools, and specialized resources for daily Science/Maths practical lessons and Makerspace activities.Clear, sanitize, and wash apparatus after lessons, ensuring the safe disposal of lab waste.Conduct collaborative safety risk assessments with teachers before experiment sessions.Maintain the daily cleanliness, security, and lockdown procedures of three science laboratories, their preparation rooms, and the makerspace zone.
- Inventory & Resource Management:Conduct routine stock-taking of departmental assets, audit resource sheets, and verify all incoming supplier deliveries.Coordinate equipment servicing, troubleshoot technical faults, and log repair timelines meticulously.Liaise directly with educational vendors to source product information and competitive quotations.
- Administrative & Ad-Hoc Support:Draft resource labels, design informational posters, and manage inventory databases using digital tools.Provide back-up support for the school general office front reception counter when required.Assist in packing resources and executing ad-hoc logistical duties for special school events.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications: Preferably possess GCE 'O' Levels or an equivalent certification.
- Skills:Proficient in MS Office utilities (Word, Excel).Strong organizing capabilities and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Preferred Experience: Prior background working in a primary school science laboratory or managing math manipulatives is highly advantageous.
Working Hours & Location
- Location: 170 Yishun Ave 6, Singapore 768959.
- Hours:Mondays to Thursdays: 7:15 AM – 4:45 PM (Includes 1-hour lunch break).Fridays: 7:15 AM – 4:15 PM (Includes 1-hour lunch break).No weekend or public holiday commitments required.
