SUMMARY:
SACI Teaching Artists lead classes in a variety of artistic disciplines for youth and adults on campus at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Disciplines include acting, musical theatre, improvisation, jazz dance, contemporary dance, and songwriting. Classes are one-hour long and run for 12 weeks, ending in a final showcase performance on May 3rd, 2026. Teaching Artists uphold the SACI mission to create beauty and belonging for each generation through education.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and teach weekly classes on campus. Classes are scheduled Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 3:30-8:15pm for youth and adults

Create lesson plans that are age and level appropriate, and secure approval from the SACI Director

Attend the final showcase performance (paid)

Cultivate a warm, invitational, and supportive learning environment

Inspire creativity in students

Empower and nurture each student as they learn and grow

Maintain a professional attitude in class and in communications with students, parents, and staff members
