Team Lead Cloud Security Engineer
Job Summary
The Team Lead, Enterprise Services (ES) Cloud is a player-coach role responsible for leading a high-performing team of Cloud Security Engineers. You will drive operational excellence, foster professional growth, and act as an application security (AppSec) expert. In this role, you will oversee customer engagements to ensure satisfaction and retention, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to proactively detect threat vectors, optimize system health, and continually improve global service delivery.

Customer Engagement & Security Strategy
Post-Sales Assistance: Oversee comprehensive post-sales service delivery, including migration support, integration assistance, configuration optimization, and proactive monitoring.
Success Ownership: Monitor engineer-customer engagements to ensure satisfaction, retention, and the swift removal of any obstacles blocking customer outcomes.
Data-Driven Insights: Analyze customer data (case trends, traffic, alerts, attack info) to provide actionable recommendations for improving system health and security posture.
Threat Research: Partner with cross-functional teams to research new attack vectors, build advanced monitoring tools/alerts, and create processes to thwart malicious requests.
Operational Excellence & Collaboration
Process Improvement: Develop and implement tools, automation, and reporting initiatives to enhance Enterprise Services delivery efficiency.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineers (SEs), Customer Success Managers (CSMs), Threat Research, Data Science, and Product teams to align customer needs with internal priorities.
Operations Management: Manage and define team KPIs to measure success, drive global strategic projects, and ensure 24x7 continuity of operations.
Role Requirements
Must-Have (Minimum Qualifications)
Experience: Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security operations, or a technical post-sales environment, with at least 2–3 years in a formal team lead or people management role.
Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading, mentoring, or coaching technical teams (ideally Cloud Security or Support Engineers).
AppSec & Cloud Edge Expertise: Deep technical understanding of application security concepts, including the OWASP Top 10, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), API security strategies, DDoS mitigation, and SSL/TLS management.
Operations & KPI Management: Experience defining team performance metrics (KPIs) and managing workflows to ensure continuous service operations (including 24x7 coverage models).
Stakeholder Communication: Excellent communication skills with a track record of collaborating across complex cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Engineering) and managing enterprise customer escalations.
Good-to-Have (Preferred Qualifications)
Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, CISM, or advanced cloud provider certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Automation & Tooling: Experience building internal monitoring tools, dashboards, or utilizing automation to improve service delivery efficiency.
Global Project Delivery: Experience working with regional peers to drive global
