Team Lead, Corporate Governance

We are looking for a governance specialist to manage a portfolio of clients and lead a team responsible for delivering ONE’s core services. Function: TheTeam Lead, Corporate Governance supports and supervises a team of Corporate Governance Officers in Porto who provide Company Secretarial and Registered Office support services to clients in Luxembourg, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities
- SupervisoryResponsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise a growing team of developing and entry level Company Secretarial and Domiciliation Support Services in a team environment on a timely basis consistent with client commitments/SLAs.
- Core supervisory responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day supervision of the Porto team (c. 6–7 staff), including coordination and oversight of work allocated to the team, ensuring clarity of priorities, appropriate distribution within the local team, and delivery quality aligns with ONE global standards.
- Act as the primary local point of coordination between the Porto team and Luxembourg/Ireland/United Kingdom-based managers, ensuring clear communication of priorities, effective coordination of deliverables, and timely escalation where required.
- Monitor team performance, utilisation and deadlines, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks, risks and capacity constraints.
- Manage local HR-related matters including holiday planning, time recording, attendance, and first-line handling of employee queries or concerns.
- Support the development of junior team members through coaching, on-the-job training,feedbackand structured development plans.
- Foster a positive, professional team culture aligned with the firm’s values, promoting engagement,accountabilityand continuous improvement.
- Provide regular feedback and reporting tothemanagement on team performance, morale, resourcingneedsand operational issues.
- Operational Responsibilities:
- Support and deliver Company Secretarial and Registered Office Support Services in a team environment on a timely basis consistent with client commitments/SLAs.
- Core service delivery responsibilities include:
- Acting as a key point of contact with clients, boards, administrators, regulators, counsel and other third parties.
- Support clients and boards with best corporate governance practice.
- Organise and attend Board, Shareholder and Committee meetings for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Take and/or review meeting minutes and resolutions.
- Facilitate and project manage transactions.
- Support company incorporations.
- Prepare and submit filings with regulators and local business registers.
- Maintain corporate records and statutory registers.

- You hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher/equivalent) in a relevant field and are either studying towards a Company Secretarial / Corporate Governance qualification or would be keen to study one with our financial support. You have a great command of English and knowledge of other languages would be a plus.
- Prior relevant experience in corporate governance or corporate law, ideally in the financial services industry, is required. Experience supervising a team preferred.
