Job Summary:
The Data Analyst generates customer, portfolio, and risk insights to optimize growth, profitability, and risk-adjusted returns, while providing business units the data support and MIS required for decision making to drive performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the development and maintenance of the Delinquency Dashboard, covering arrears, flow rates, cures and key delinquency trends to support timely collections actions.
Oversee the Collections Productivity Dashboard, monitoring contact rates, PTP performance, recoveries and productivity metrics to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
Develop and maintain the Collection Segmentation Priority Matrix to identify and prioritise customer segments based on delinquency behaviour, risk profile and recovery potential.
Lead Auction Aging & RP Analysis to monitor auction pipelines, aging trends and recovery performance, highlighting key issues and areas requiring management intervention.
Drive the NPL Dashboard, providing insights on NPL inflows, stock movements, recoveries and write-offs to support portfolio and collections strategy.
Develop Risk Monitoring Reports to identify deteriorating customer segments, portfolio trends and risk vintages, enabling early identification of potential credit and collections risks.
Lead the Collections Forecast Dashboard, providing projections on inflows, recoveries and target achievement to support collections planning and performance tracking.
Translate data into actionable business insights by analysing trends, variances and key performance indicators and presenting findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
Lead and review analytics outputs to ensure data accuracy, consistency and timeliness across collections and credit risk reporting.
Partner with Collections, Credit Risk and Business teams to understand business requirements, develop relevant analytics solutions and support data-driven decision making.
Identify opportunities to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities, including automation, dashboard optimisation and improved data visualisation to increase efficiency and reduce manual reporting.
Provide guidance and coaching to analytics team members on data analysis, reporting standards, dashboard development and interpretation of collections and risk metrics.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or related degree.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the financial industry.
An aptitude for numbers and understanding of Profit & Loss.
Meticulous with keen attention to details.
Strong communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen, interpret, influence, and negotiate.
Good with troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
Naturally inquisitive with a desire to understand a broad range of commercial issues.
Ability to work on tight deadlines with minimal supervision, willing to learn and able to work under pressure.
Possess good analytical skills and enjoy working with data.
