Team Lead, Legal and Compliance
- Preparation of legal documents
- Issuance of offer letters and delivery of contract of sales upon
submission of required details upon provision of relevant detail as captured in the subscription and onboarding form
- Review of compliance with required documentation e.g. execution of contract
of sales before approval to process commission or other payments.
- Filing of annual return on or
before 30th January of the following year.
- Project documentation compliance including; completion of all statutory documentation,
identification and liaison with relevant stakeholders including police within 14 days before the proposed commencement date of the project
- Represent the company during business meetings, take charge of litigation, negotiation, mediation and review of contracts and provide legal
advice appropriate to eliminate/minimize litigation from time to time from time to time
- 48 - 72 hours resolution, where there are issues to be resolved across statutory, security and community issues
- Drafting of legal agreements, memorandum of understanding, contract letters, joint venture agreements, service level agreements etc
- Provide legal advice on all business transactions/deals, product/service offerings to the Company and business units/departments
- Review existing contracts from time to time and give relevant advice based on current global/best practices
- Responsible for registration, regularization of new and existing business units under the Companies and Allied Matters Act
- Create, maintain, monitor registers and other company records
- Review and advice management on legal implications of adopted processes and procedures
- Liaise and advice Company’s Customers from time to time to resolve queries and grievances
- Monthly report briefing on legal and compliance issues.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Operating Officer from time to time
Requirements
Law graduate
∙Member of the Nigerian Bar Association
∙Excellent written and verbal communication skill
∙Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial laws
∙Great team work ability
∙Good research skill and perpetual learning
∙Strong skill in customer relationship building and maintenance
∙Minimum of 5 years real estate industry experience is an advantage
