Händlerbund supports online retailers in Germany with legal protection, digital tools, and expertise. Our legal team works daily on cases that directly affect our members' businesses: from warning letters and trademark consultations to account suspensions on Amazon and eBay. In doing so, we develop solutions that proactively protect our members.

We are looking for a proactive leader (m/f/d) who will manage this team while understanding how to further develop, automate, and modernize legal services in a digital environment.

Your Tasks

• Team Leadership & Development: You lead your legal team, define roles & responsibilities, and know where each person stands and how they can develop. Feedback sessions, onboarding, and team events are part of this.
• Focus on Performance: You conduct continuous monitoring of team performance, identify weaknesses at an early stage, and derive concrete measures, including evaluations and recommendations for action for the management level.
• Processes & Standards: You create uniform work standards and ensure they are followed. Where things get stuck, you optimize them together with the process manager or independently.
• AI & Digitalization: You evaluate new tools, drive the use of AI-supported solutions, and implement them.
• Warning Letters & Legal Products: You monitor warning trends and account suspensions and derive recommendations for action from them. You are responsible for the content of selected Händlerbund products.
• Day-to-Day Business & Management: Capacities, personnel planning, controlling, quality assurance, and team meetings are your responsibility.
• Interface to Other Departments: You are the central contact person for other business areas and ensure a smooth exchange of information and functioning cross-departmental cooperation.

Your Profile

• Two State Exams: You have the legal foundation and know when to use it and when to think pragmatically.
• Experience in Relevant Legal Fields: You can support your team professionally and are close enough to the action to recognize trends. Your background is ideally in competition law, IT law, trademark and copyright law, intellectual property law, commercial and corporate law, or other industry-specific areas.
• Leadership Experience: You have already led teams and understand that good leadership is more than just delegating tasks. Empathy, clarity, and reliability characterize you.
• Digital Affinity & Spirit of Innovation: You bring your own ideas regarding new tools, AI solutions, and automation and want to implement them.
• Structure & Organizational Talent: You keep an overview even with many parallel topics.
• Entrepreneurial Thinking: You think in solutions, not problems, and have a good sense for economic contexts and numbers.
• Customer Focus & Communication Skills: Whether internal or external: You communicate clearly, in a solution-oriented manner, and always keep the satisfaction of Händlerbund members in mind.
• Willingness to Change & Resilience: You are flexible, can prioritize, and do not lose the thread even in a fast-growing environment, but see change as an opportunity.
