Job Summary
The Team Lead, Management Accounting will oversee management reporting, budgeting, and financial planning across the company. The role holder will ensure accurate financial analysis, cost control, and strategic financial decision- making support within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all business units in alignment with strategic objectives.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets, analyze variances, and implement cost-control measures to improve financial efficiency.
- Produce timely and accurate management reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, decision-making, and business initiatives.
- Conduct cost-benefit and profitability analyses for projects and business initiatives.
- Implement cost-reduction strategies while maintaining operational effectiveness.
- Monitor profitability metrics and recommend corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
- Partner with business units to enhance financial performance and margin optimization.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
- Conduct regular financial risk reviews and strengthen internal controls.
- Maintain compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Present clear, actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the management accounting team.
- Provide training on financial policies, systems, and best practices.
- Foster collaboration between finance and other departments.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and financial discipline
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in management accounting.
- Experience within a group holding company or multinational organization is preferred.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Proven experience in cost management, cost-benefit analysis, profitability analysis, and performance measurement.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis methodologies, financial modeling, and strategic planning support.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and financial reporting standards.
- Strong knowledge of risk management practices and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present financial insights to senior management.
