Team Lead, Mobile Equipement Mechanic
Summary
A working team-lead mechanic role: maintain, repair, inspect, and refurbish the company's mobile equipment fleet (trucks, excavators, loaders, lifts) at sites around Laval, QC, with occasional trips to the Port of Quebec. Core skills are heavy equipment mechanics and preventive maintenance, with hydraulics an asset.
We are currently looking for a motivated Team Lead to join our team in Laval, Quebec. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Team Lead mobile equipment mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing the fleet, working at various sites and following up regularly with their team leader.
What you’re responsible for:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mobile equipment (trucks, excavators, loaders, lifts, etc.);
- Perform visual inspections and carry out preventive maintenance according to schedules;
- Replace defective parts and make necessary repairs;
- Ensure that equipment operates safely and in accordance with company standards;
- Travel occasionally to support the team at the Port of Quebec site.
