Team Lead Product Analyst
Summary
This role is for a growth-oriented product analyst who will lead analytical initiatives and mentor junior staff while working across product, marketing, and business strategy teams. The position requires strong SQL skills and experience in experimentation and product metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Lead Product Analyst based in Sweden.
This is a growth-oriented product analytics leadership opportunity for an experienced analyst ready to expand their impact beyond hands-on analysis. You will initially focus on product and business analytics while progressively taking ownership of larger analytical initiatives, stakeholder relationships, and team leadership responsibilities. The role sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Growth, Data, and business strategy, giving you broad visibility into how data drives decisions. You will investigate complex product and business questions, identify opportunities, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Over time, you will mentor analysts, shape analytical standards, and develop the skills required to lead a product analytics function. Accountabilities
- Investigate changes in product, marketing, and business KPIs, identify root causes, and translate findings into clear business recommendations.
- Conduct user behavior, funnel, retention, cohort, and segmentation analyses to understand product performance and customer behavior.
- Design, evaluate, and interpret experiments, including A/B tests, CUPED/CUPAC methodologies, and the use of proxy metrics.
- Quantify the expected and actual impact of product and marketing initiatives and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Growth, and other business teams to support data-driven decision-making and influence roadmap priorities.
- Generate actionable insights that help improve product performance, customer engagement, retention, and business outcomes.
- Work with Data Engineering to define analytical requirements, improve data quality, and strengthen the reliability of analytical datasets.
- Contribute to analytics infrastructure, dashboards, reporting processes, and metric systems to make insights more accessible and consistent.
- Help establish analytical standards, best practices, and reliable definitions for key product and marketing metrics.
- Support marketing and growth analytics, including LTV, CAC, attribution, funnel measurement, performance analysis, and optimization.
- Develop and validate leading indicators and proxy metrics that enable faster and more informed business decisions.
- Gradually take ownership of larger cross-functional analytical projects and drive them independently from definition through delivery.
- Mentor and support junior analysts, sharing analytical expertise and helping strengthen team capabilities.
- Participate in analytical planning and prioritization while developing stronger stakeholder management and communication skills with senior business leaders.
- Progressively take responsibility for analytical processes, quality standards, and team performance as preparation for a Product Analytics Team Lead position.
- Strong professional experience in Product Analytics, with a track record of using data to influence product and business decisions.
- Advanced SQL and strong data analysis capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with product metrics, funnels, retention, cohort analysis, experimentation, and growth analytics.
- Strong business and product thinking, with the ability to connect analytical findings to commercial and strategic outcomes.
- Ability to translate complex datasets and analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence collaborating across Product, Marketing, Growth, Data, and senior leadership.
- Strong ownership mindset, independence, and the ability to take analytical projects from problem definition through implementation and impact measurement.
- Genuine interest in mentoring others and developing toward a people leadership position.
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) English proficiency or higher.
- Availability to work a standard schedule of 9:00–18:00 within GMT+4 to GMT+10 time zones.
- Previous experience mentoring analysts or leading analytical projects is a plus.
- Experience in consumer products, marketplaces, SaaS, gaming, dating, social, subscription, or other high-volume digital businesses is advantageous.
- Experience developing analytics frameworks, metric systems, or analytical standards is a plus.
