Team Leader – MEP
Role Summary
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the Health, Safety & Welfare, leadership and line management, workflow and technical governance within our GCC team.
The Key Activities would include (but not be limited to)
People focus: The role has a key responsibility for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff. The team leader is expected to demonstrate effective & visible leadership across projects, focusing on the ongoing engagement and retention of employees through the development of individuals and building high performing teams;
Business, operational & commercial management – delivering on business plan & budgetary targets;
Divisional Resource Management – GCC utilisation;
Supporting UK with bidding opportunities
Key point of contact with the UK business, direct liaison with UK Project Directors, and promoting the GCC and ensuring its success.
Line Manager / Staff Development – PDR Goals, support, training & mentoring
Lead, mentor and provide strong technical & people leadership.
Develop and maintain technical skills & competency assessment for the team and support their training & development.
Grow capability and capacity of the team to meet business growth strategies and maintain a delivery focused environment.
Manage goals & objectives, performance reviews, rewards & recognition and personal development plans of team members and support their career progression.
Manage staffing, talent retention strategies, succession planning and support talent acquisition.
Promote, support and drive a culture of health & safety within the team ensuring adherence to safety protocols and risk management strategies.
Engage with wider groups/teams of GCC to understand resources’ capability, needs, availability, focus areas for development and contribute to overall growth of GCC capabilities.
Technical governance of the GCC teams output working with UK technical governance of all deliverables
Supervising ensuring the competence, quality and timely submission of detailed engineering deliverables and coordinate inputs from other areas across the business both in India and the UK
Liaising with project managers you will play a key role in both managing technical input to our projects and ensuring that deliverables are appropriate and fit-for-purpose. Ensuring client satisfaction and providing support in the production of outputs, as require
Mandatory skills

Excellent inter-personal skills, with strong leadership capable of communicating effectively with other members of the project team, stakeholders & Clients.
Significant experience of team management responsibilities including line management and day-to-day operations.
Experience of operating as a lead client contact for consultancy services and fostering of excellent relationships with Clients and co-professionals
Excellent spoken and written English
UK and International experience
Open minded and intellectually agile
Act ethically with fairness, honesty and integrity
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum 15 years of experience in building services.
Chartered Engineering Status with the UK Engineering Council.
