Team Leader
Do you have experience of leading a team and supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
When you join us, you'll become part of an organisation rated ‘Outstanding’ by CQC. Our team has won numerous local and national awards for leading the way in person-centred support, and we're proud to make a real difference in the lives of the people we support.
About Us
At Partners in Support, you'll never be just a number. You'll be part of a close-knit team that genuinely cares about the people we support and each other.
Since 2008, we've provided supported living services across Hertfordshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism to live the lives they choose in their own homes and communities. We're proud to be a local, values-led organisation that puts people before growth and believes in dignity, respect, compassion and partnership.
As a Team Leader, you'll play a key role in leading a small team to deliver outstanding, person-centred support.
Working closely with the Locality Manager, you'll provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and coaching to Support Workers, helping to ensure high standards of support and positive outcomes for the people we support.
You'll lead by example, conduct supervisions and observations, support colleagues with their development, and help create a positive, inclusive culture. You'll take responsibility for ensuring key documentation and compliance requirements are completed to a high standard, such as monitoring training schedules, reviewing support records, medication compliance and contributing to audits.
You will also work as part of our ‘on-call’ team - working 1 weekend in 4 - as part of your contracted hours. Being part of ‘on-call’ means being flexible to attend other services when required, getting to know the wider group of people we support.
At Partners in Support, we're committed to helping our colleagues grow. Through regular check-ins, meaningful supervision, leadership development and ongoing training opportunities, we'll support you to build your skills and progress your career.
- At least 1 years' experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and experience of consistently leading a small team, able to demonstrate this on your CV.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins as part of a rota. Happy to work ‘on-call’ as part of your contract; working 1 weekend in 4 (or more, if you would like), with a topped up hourly rate.
- Experience completing or overseeing care records, support documentation and compliance-related paperwork, as well as a good understanding of CQC standards and person-centered support.
- Confidence in providing guidance, coaching and support to colleagues.
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- A positive, proactive and supportive approach.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Guaranteed full-time hours on a permanent contract
- Paid birthday leave and long service awards
- Blue Light Card membership
