Position Overview
The Team Member supports daily store operations by assisting customers, stocking shelves, maintaining store cleanliness, and helping ensure efficient store operations. This role works closely with coworkers to support inventory management, product replenishment, and customer service needs. Team Members help create a safe, organized, and welcoming shopping environment while supporting various store activities and customer needs.
This position is located in Staten Island, New York.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers throughout the store.
- Answer customer questions and provide product or aisle location assistance.
- Stock shelves and rotate products using the FIFO method.
- Maintain clean and organized aisles and work areas.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions when assigned.
- Bag groceries and assist customers at checkout.
- Remove damaged or expired products from shelves.
- Assist with inventory management and product replenishment.
Requirements
- Basic customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced grocery store environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions when assigned cashier duties.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift items throughout a shift.
- Willingness to restock shelves and perform physical tasks.
- Attention to detail for pricing, labeling, and product rotation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to follow store policies, safety, and sanitation standards.
