Tech Lead / Delivery Manager (Banking & Financial Services)

Salary: ₱80,000 – ₱120,000 per month

About the role

Oversee and manage the Retail Loan Origination technical deliverables, provide direction and guidance in project development, and ensure that all projects meet the highest quality standards. Manage project scope, working closely with other teams in determining requirements, estimates, and timelines of developers, analysts, and architects, analyze briefs, write progress reports, identify risks, and develop work schedules. Oversee deployments and new releases, review code, and solve issues.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in prioritization of IT projects as part of the business planning / demand planning cycle for the Units

• Align with the project manager on the overall business outcomes for the modules and delivery timelines

• Monitor and execute assigned projects as per SDLC and Governance process

• Accountable to deliver the technical deliverables of the projects within scope, schedule and budget commitments

• Accountable to manage the vendors involved in the project, ensuring all technical deliverables are met

• Identify and log project issues; oversee the resolution process; and escalate issues when necessary

• Lead, when necessary, re-scope the projects and update project plans accordingly

• Lead the project closure ensuring all deliverables are achieved and documented; and relevant lessons learned / case studies are developed

• Develop project plan, scope, estimates; manage the implementation of IT Projects ensuring on-time and within budget delivery while meeting business requirements and ensuring compliance with solution architecture

• Responsible for setting and achieving the team's goals, along with making sure that employees follow major technical decisions

About you

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, software development or relevant to the job

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and delivering solutions

• Prior experience in working on loan origination (or other loan management related) systems is a plus

• Excellent understanding and experience with design principles

• Must have excellent knowledge of the technology industry

• Must have strong command of programming languages and system codes to handle technical complexities for maximum efficiency regardless of tech-stack / language in question

• Good understanding of application development concepts and principles, including memory management, performance / resource optimizations, database interactions, monitoring, security, and operability of systems

• Very conversant with different project management frameworks (e.g. Scrum, PMP, Kanban)

• Strong leadership and organizational abilities

• Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills

• Must be willing to work on an initial full before transitioning to a hybrid work set-up.
