We own the end-to-end engineering impact - powering over 50 dynamic brands across Latin America and Europe through cutting-edge 3DS authentication, scheme connections, and cross-functional innovations.
A tech lead drives PPRO’s most significant decisions, leaving a lasting impact on our technical strategies, system landscape, and culture. Operating within a cross-functional team, you will solve complex technical problems, lead architectural choices, and mentor fellow engineers while coding alongside them. Ultimately, you'll build the foundations for innovative LatAm products, shaping the future of our real-time accounting, reconciliation, and billing systems.
What you’ll do:
- You help establish company wide technical standards and share best practices
- Deliver large, cross-team/cross-domain projects and initiatives
- Own products and services end-to-end, from requirements till deployment in our production systems
- Collaborate and grow in a dynamic and autonomous environment while working in small, agile and cross functional teams
- Be the technical lead of a team, and shape its culture and ways of working. Common practices include agile methodologies, pair and mob programming
- Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale
What we look for in you:
Mindset & Approach: A results-oriented, collaborative professional with a pragmatic approach to software delivery and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
Technical Expertise: Deep hands-on experience in backend engineering, with strong proficiency in Java (or other general-purpose programming languages) and a solid grasp of clean code principles.
System Design: A proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-availability products and microservices that drive meaningful business value.
Cloud Infrastructure: Strong familiarity with cloud-native environments—preferably AWS (or comparable experience with Azure/GCP) - including containerized deployments and cloud workflows.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a knack for breaking down complex technical challenges into practical, maintainable solutions.
Communication: Professional working proficiency in English, with the ability to articulate technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively across a diverse team.
