Tech Lead/Team Lead (Back-End)
A gambling and affiliate marketing company is looking for a seasoned engineer to lead a small, dedicated development team focused on internal tools and gambling-related microproducts.
We are looking for an experienced engineer who can communicate effectively with stakeholders, maintain a friendly, low-bureaucracy environment within the development team, make architectural and technical decisions, and actively participate in planning and the software delivery lifecycle.
Requirements:
Experience in technical leadership or engineering management in a small team for at least 1 year
Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS
Proficiency in performance profiling, debugging, and Node.js internals
Deep understanding of modern software engineering principles
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Nice to have:
Expertise in or familiarity with cryptography, RNG/PRNG, statistics, and probability theory
Experience in high-risk industries, especially online gambling and/or performance/affilate marketing
Strong understanding of and commitment to Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Responsibilities:
People management: conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, development planning, and supporting team wellbeing
Task decomposition, estimation, and delivery tracking
Code reviews and mentoring developers
Making technical decisions and participating in planning sessions with the CTO and stakeholders
Collaborating with other teams, gathering requirements, and participating in feature planning and management
