Tech Operations Engineer – Senior Level

📌 About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to join our Team in Bucharest. In this role, you’ll work alongside other engineers to deliver and support IT services hosted on Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and Kubernetes.

You’ll be responsible for managing application releases, resolving complex incidents, and ensuring the reliability of our technology portfolio.

• Hybrid in Bucharest, but the client is flexible.

• Occasional office visits (1–2 times per month may be acceptable).

• Open to candidates with 3–4 years of experience, provided they have strong Azure DevOps experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and support IT services in Azure PaaS, IaaS and Kubernetes environments

• Manage application releases and pipelines using Azure DevOps

• Troubleshoot and resolve third-level incidents

• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to overcome challenges and deliver quality service

• Understand and manage the architecture of all applications in the portfolio

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services (Azure Kubernetes Services, App Services, SQL PaaS, Azure Cosmos DB, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Service Bus, Blob Storage)

• Experience with Microsoft products (SQL Server, IIS, Windows Services) deployed on-premises or in Azure as IaaS

• Docker, Helm and Kubectl experience is a plus for managing, deploying and troubleshooting AKS environments

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps tools

• Experience in technical implementation and operation of mission-critical IT services

• Advanced troubleshooting skills that cover both hosting and functional aspects of an application

• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, SSL, load balancers, OpenSSL)

• Ability to write T-SQL queries and PowerShell scripts

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools and practices to enhance the release management process

• Familiarity with ITIL-based frameworks

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

• Skills in project management frameworks, such as Agile or Scrum

• Ability to synthesize complex technical issues or requirements in plain language for non-technical stakeholders

• Quality-focused and calm under pressure

• Proficient in English

Additional Information:
