About the School

An established and well-resourced school in Poole is looking for a confident and technically capable 2nd Line IT Support Technician to join its IT department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with technology and providing hands-on technical support.

About the Role

You will provide technical assistance across the school, helping ensure that staff and pupils have access to reliable IT systems and equipment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support for staff and pupils.

• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network issues.

• Installing, configuring and maintaining computers, laptops and printers.

• Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows environments and user accounts.

• Assisting with network connectivity, servers and system updates.

• Maintaining IT equipment records and documenting technical issues.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in an IT support or technical support role.

• Experience providing 2nd line support is highly desirable.

• Good knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and a helpful approach to user support.

School-based IT experience would be advantageous.

An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
