For In-Situ Europe Ltd we are seeking a motivated Technical Support Representative for our Facility in Redditch, United Kingdom.

Essential Functions:

• Providing technical support to our national and international customers
• Recording problem descriptions, compiling the data required for analysis, and entering this information into the Salesforce system
• Managing system configurations (data loggers, software, etc.)
• Working closely with our product management team on the development of existing and new products
• Provide technical training on Ott and applications to internal and external customers.
• Promotion of In-Situ/Ott service offerings to customers

Additional Functions

• Where required contribute to the wider function of the service business
  • Co-ordinating RMAs – Quotes, Receiving, Repairing.
  • Assess, test and diagnose sensitive instrumentation and telemetry devices
  • Shipping and Receiving Service orders
  • Occasional Field Work, support customers on their own site
• Other Duties as required by the business.

Note: over time these duties are expected to reduce in order to primarily focus on technical support.

Your profile:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (Geography, Geology, Hydrogeology, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental science, Electrical engineering etc) – Or able to demonstrate equivalent working experience.
• Knowledge of IP technology or an affinity for IT
• Knowledge of instrumentation or other scientific equipment
• Good written and spoken English, knowledge of other languages (specifically German) would be advantageous
• Enjoy and have experience of communicating with customers
• Enjoy solving complex technical problems
• Experience with a ticketing system
• A systematic, independent and reliable approach to work
• Ability to work as part of a team
