Tech System Analyst
Salary: RM 7,000 – RM 10,000 per month
About the role
The Amway Communications and CRM Technology department is looking for a Technical Systems Analyst to serve as a link between business stakeholders, market contacts and the software engineering team. In this role, you will translate transactional/e-commerce and marketing communication requests into technical requirements, and functional/data specifications. You will also manage an organized, healthy backlog of actionable tasks for our software engineering partners, and be accountable for any follow-up necessary between the software engineering teams and relevant stakeholders as the work is completed. Operating as an individual contributor within a cross-functional team of software engineers, product owners, and global Sales & Marketing individuals, this role performs analysis on assigned initiatives, applies rigorous discovery, specification, and validation practices, and builds subject matter expertise on communication orchestration and the related systems. The Technical Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting market communication blueprints, evaluating the business and system impacts of proposed campaigns, and translating those requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications in partnership with the Tech Lead.
Key responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to map business processes, data flows, and technology needs, and contribute to the business case for proposed solutions
Support demand intake, prioritization, and planning by assessing feasibility, effort, risk, and downstream impact of requested work
Serve as a primary point of contact for requirements clarification during development, helping resolve questions and remove impediments to delivery
Document business scenarios, exception handling, and edge cases to help improve solution quality and operational readiness
Translate business requirements into functional designs, use cases, process flows, and detailed schematics of transaction and business flows
Develop detailed user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria that support efficient development, testing, and deployment activities
Participate in agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, and requirements review sessions
Plan and execute Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) validation procedures
Investigate, document, and triage issues identified during testing and production support activities
Partner with global team members, vendors, and cross-market teams across time zones to coordinate analysis and apply consistent delivery practices
About you
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a closely related technical or business field
Minimum 4+ years of experience analyzing business requirements and delivering technology solutions
Working knowledge of agile delivery and product-oriented delivery models
Working knowledge of customer and ABO facing business processes, practices, and procedures
Ability to extract and define business requirements and translate them into functional, solution, and user experience designs
Strong project management experience and ability to keep complex work highly organized
Working knowledge of software engineering practices, including requirements traceability, testing, CI/CD, and release management
Working knowledge of cloud and on-premise technologies, integration patterns, and event-driven architectures
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
