Job Title: Technical Account Development Manager II- Southeastern U.S.

Job Summary / Objective:
The Technical Account Development Manager II is responsible for identifying and growing high potential target accounts. They grow and manage new and existing accounts by understanding the customers’ problems and key business objectives and demonstrating the business value of the products and services offered by RJG to enable their success. The Technical Account Development Manager II also utilizes their injection molding process expertise and advanced RJG product knowledge to demonstrate how RJG’s products and services can improve client business performance.

Essential Job Functions:
Account Development
  • Manage a strong sales opportunity pipeline and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and other relevant information in the company's Zoho CRM system.
  • Execute defined company, departmental and individual strategic sales initiatives, objectives and key results.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and meet sales revenue goals.
  • Follow established sales processes and strategies to develop and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Identify and target new accounts and opportunities; develop specific strategies to move new accounts through sales pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain account and opportunity management plans to expand and grow high potential accounts.
  • Forecast revenue against sales targets for your account base. Understand, plan for, and track project profitability.
  • Develop account plans and long-term sales pipeline to increase the company's market share.
  • Determine the needs, issues, and pain areas of customers and apply a strategic approach to demonstrate how RJG’s products and services align to meet client’s business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to achieve revenue targets.
  • Prepare and present product and training solutions that address client needs.
  • Prepare contractual proposals and statements of work, negotiate purchasing agreements, contracts, and close deals.
  • Travel within the assigned southeastern U.S. region and occasionally outside region.
Technical Sales and Support
  • Utilize Injection Molding process and operations subject matter expertise to demonstrate how RJG’s products and services can improve client business performance.
  • Recommend injection molding solutions using RJG’s technology, training, and consulting that fit each client’s unique needs and strategy.
  • Determine the needs, issues, and pain areas of customers and apply a strategic approach to demonstrate how RJG’s products and services align to meet client’s business outcomes.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers and partners, providing technical support and expertise to help them understand and utilize our products.
  • Provide direct technical guidance on RJG products to customers, along with promoting RJG's existing and future solutions by developing working technical support partnerships with key customers/markets.
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to stay informed of new product developments and advancements and communicate this information to customers and partners.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to conduct research, develop and execute strategic business solutions that continuously increase RJG® Inc.’s value to their clients.

Team Communication and Collaboration
  • Conduct and participate in virtual and face-to-face client meetings/presentations/trade shows/trials/demos solo and with other team members.
  • Participate in internal product and sales meetings to maintain sales alignment on initiatives, forecasts and sales targets.
  • Coordinate RJG cross departmental resources to support ongoing client needs (tech support, training, consulting).
  • Coordinate transition of account contacts to additional RJG team members as needed for retention efforts.
  • Document experience with delivering RJG products and/or services to transform activities back into RJG business practices or tools for future client interactions.
  • Log all client communication through Zoho CRM so it is visible to additional team members.
  • Maintain accurate client and project records in Zoho CRM, including contact information, communications, project documents, proposals, purchase orders.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s in business administration, sales, engineering, or technology or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business-to-business sales, account management, and/or technical sales.
  • 5+ years of Plastic Injection Molding industry knowledge and experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience with RJG® products and services as well as target industry market and competition required.
  • Experience with scientific/DECOUPLED MOLDING® Techniques required.
  • Master Molder® qualification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer interfacing abilities; able to positively influence key decision makers.
  • Elevated level of professionalism, self-driven, detail-oriented, and quality conscious “team player”.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in both verbal and written forms at an executive/C-suite level.
  • Excellent problem solving, statistical, and analytical skills. Ability to identify problem and root cause to recommend an appropriate customer solution.
  • Strong business acumen: ability to understand and explain return on investment and project profitability.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and willing to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage difficult situations.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of RJG products and services as well as target industry market and competition.
  • Technical aptitude to learn and communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable with our insurance company.
Work Environment: Office setting (home office, mobile office/vehicle), client facilities, manufacturing areas, and virtual meeting spaces (ZOHO Meetings, Zoom, etc.).

Physical Demands: Bending, sitting, walking, lifting to 20 lbs., extensive driving and air travel.
Travel Expectations: Travel 50% to 75%. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable with our insurance company. Includes international travel. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
