Job Summary
Lead architectural initiatives by providing technical leadership, developing enterprise roadmaps, and ensuring compliance with architecture standards to support business goals and technology innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead software development teams by providing hands-on technical guidance and support for Borders projects and system administration
- Analyze enterprise requirements and current architecture to create strategic roadmaps for future enhancements
- Conduct code reviews and oversee assigned programs to ensure quality and adherence to standards
- Resolve technical issues promptly to maintain project momentum and system stability
- Enforce compliance with architecture, design patterns, policies, standards, and best practices across projects
- Monitor systems to verify they meet user needs and align with business objectives
- Apply expertise in service-oriented architecture (SOA) and distributed systems to design scalable solutions
- Utilize knowledge of operating systems (Windows, UNIX) and databases (MySQL, Oracle, DB2) to support system integration and performance
- Leverage technology skills in Messaging (IBM MQ), Transaction Management, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and DAO to enhance system functionality
- Manage architectural requirements encompassing business, technology, and security aspects to ensure comprehensive solutions
- Identify and document architectural decisions impacting overall solutions for transparency and governance
- Collaborate continuously with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements, data privacy, business continuity, information security, and system integration needs
- Ensure correct application of technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices across projects and products
- Contribute to architecture governance by developing methodologies, compliance frameworks, and setting architectural direction
- Build consensus and mediate conflicts by providing technical leadership and advisory services to business and technical teams
