  • Experience with data architecture, analytics platforms, or data integration.
  • Experience developing architectural standards and governance frameworks.
  • Experience with platform engineering, DevOps, or developer experience initiatives.
  • Technical Architecture: 6 years (preferred)
  • Software Engineering: 6 years (preferred)
  • United Kingdom work authorisation required.
  • Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Edinburgh EH2 2JG before starting work.
  • Full-time role.
Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain architectural direction for platforms, systems, and business domains.
  • Lead the design of complex and business-critical technology solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across our Technology team.
  • Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, resilience, performance, and maintainability.
  • Evaluate technology options and support key technical decision-making.
  • Promote architectural standards, consistency, and best practices across our technology estate.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technology supports organisational priorities.
  • Manage key relationships with external technology suppliers.
  • Mentor and support members of our Technology team, sharing architectural knowledge and best practice.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, reduce complexity, and manage technical risk.
