Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or in a similar role
  • Strong software development background with hands-on coding experience in Java, .NET, Python, or a relevant tech stack
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead development teams effectively
  • Deep understanding of programme and project management principles and lifecycle
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and modern architecture patterns including microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance
Responsibilities:
  • Architect and design scalable, robust, and secure technical solutions aligned with business goals
  • Lead and manage development teams, ensuring best practices in software development, quality, and delivery
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Provide holistic oversight and governance across multiple programmes and projects, ensuring consistency and alignment with enterprise architecture
  • Act as a technical mentor and coach for development teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment
  • Stay hands-on by actively participating in software development, coding, code reviews, and troubleshooting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and adoption of solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in architecture, development processes, and delivery methodologies
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and performance standards
