We're partnering with an established Australian financial services organisation seeking a hands-on Technical Business Analyst to support the implementation of a new financial crime and AML transaction monitoring platform.
This is a highly technical delivery role sitting across Compliance, Operations, Technology and external vendors. You'll be responsible for connecting multiple domestic and international transactional systems into the new monitoring platform, ensuring requirements, data flows and detection scenarios are accurately translated into a practical solution.
What you'll be doing
We're partnering with an established Australian financial services organisation seeking a hands-on Technical Business Analyst to support the implementation of a new financial crime and AML transaction monitoring platform.
This is a highly technical delivery role sitting across Compliance, Operations, Technology and external vendors. You'll be responsible for connecting multiple domestic and international transactional systems into the new monitoring platform, ensuring requirements, data flows and detection scenarios are accurately translated into a practical solution.
What you'll be doing
- Elicit, document and prioritise functional and technical requirements
- Map trade, settlement, client account and market data into the platform's ingestion layer
- Define and validate data feeds from third-party clearing and settlement providers
- Translate AML/CTF scenarios into rules, thresholds and tuning requirements
- Produce source-to-target mappings, interface designs, test cases and reconciliation logic
- Support AI-assisted financial crime investigation workflows
- Coordinate UAT, data quality validation and cutover activities
- Liaise across Compliance, Operations, IT, vendors and external partners
- Previous experience within Financial Services
- Strong understanding of broker transactional data and third-party clearing arrangements
- Hands-on experience implementing an AML or transaction monitoring platform
- Strong SQL, data analysis, data lineage
- Familiarity with Australian AML/CTF regulatory requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and documentation skills
