Technical Business Analyst

Aspirante is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB), supporting the delivery of CITEC services within a complex ICT environment. Contract Period - 24/08/2026 to 25/02/2027 plus extension.Reporting to the Director, Project Delivery, you will provide strategic business analysis advice and translate stakeholder needs into detailed business and system requirements.
As the Technical Business Analyst, you will:
- Assist stakeholders with the articulation of high-level business needs in relation to information systems and information technology (IT) processes.
- Analyse and evaluate user (stakeholder) requirements to identify the most appropriate solution and to convert these requirements into detailed business/system requirements specifications.
- Analyse and document business requirements for system interface requirements and provide support and advice on the development of reconciliation outputs.
- Negotiate, establish and maintain networks and working relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders.
- Design, develop and implement innovative communication activities ensuring stakeholders have a clear and accurate understanding of the program and its impact.
- Provide advice and recommendations on information system capabilities and integration with third party system solution options.
- Advanced analytical, problem solving and research skills to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions to complex IT issues.
- Demonstrate experience in analysing, interpreting, and evaluating technical information and business requirements to identify the most appropriate solution and conversion of these into detailed business/system requirements specifications.
- Demonstrate experience with data analysis for activities relating to interfaces and integration, particularly data transformation.
- Significant process modelling experience using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and use advanced communication skills to convey complex information to a range of audiences.
