Technical Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced EL1 Technical Business Analyst to join a major Federal Government data and analytics transformation program on a 12-month contract.

This role will bridge business and technology teams, leading the development of business and technical requirements and helping translate complex business needs into practical data and technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business and technical requirements development across large-scale data and analytics programs
• Develop traceability frameworks linking deliverables to business outcomes
• Document complex data flows, processes and technical requirements
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and solution designs
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and working groups
• Contribute to the design and implementation of data and analytics solutions
• Work across business, technical and vendor teams in an Agile environment

Ideally you will have the following:

• Strong experience delivering business and technical requirements within data and analytics programs
• Experience with cloud data platforms, data architecture, ETL, governance and security
• Strong data flow and process modelling capability
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Practical Agile experience, including epics, user stories and backlog management
• Experience with SQL, Python, SAS Viya or similar technologies is highly regarded

Eligibility: Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of citizenship as part of the pre-engagement process.

This role will be offered as an initial12 month contract + 12 month extension option.
