This is a genuinely technical, hands-on BA position. We are looking for a career Technical Business Analyst with deep network and security infrastructure experience who can work at a detailed level with Network and Security Architects and Engineers, while also engaging business and technical SMEs to identify application dependencies and translate these into precise network segmentation requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed discovery and analysis of existing network connectivity and application dependencies
- Analyse raw network traffic information and translate findings into detailed connectivity matrices covering source/destination IPs, ports, protocols and required actions
- Define detailed requirements and rules supporting network segmentation and micro-segmentation
- Work closely with Network and Security Architects to challenge, validate and refine proposed technical solutions
- Engage SMEs across diverse business, application, research, facilities and OT environments to uncover detailed application and connectivity dependencies
- Support Data Centre and DMZ modernisation, including firewall routing, OoB management networks, load balancers, proxy uplift and IP address rationalisation
- Support workload micro-segmentation and the development of granular host-based isolation policies
- Analyse requirements for campus network segmentation, including zoned network architectures, SD-WAN, VRFs, NAC and ACL hardening
- Support SASE/SSE and Zero Trust initiatives across ZTNA, SWG, CASB and DLP
- Contribute to network observability uplift, including NTA, DPI and SNI capabilities
- Produce detailed technical requirements, process/traffic flows, traceability and supporting analysis throughout delivery
- Initial 12-month contract
- Up to $1100/day + Super.
