Technical Business Analyst - eCommerce

Milestone IT is currently working with a large Australian organisation that is undertaking a strategic technology and eCommerce project. We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join the program and work closely with senior stakeholders, business units and technical teams.

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager – eCommerce, you will play a key role in understanding business needs, facilitating discovery, defining requirements and translating complex business requirements into a clear and actionable technical backlog.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst who enjoys working across both business and technology environments and can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels.

You will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with Program Managers, Project Managers and Product Owners.
• Facilitating discovery, scoping and requirements workshops with business units and key stakeholders.
• Gathering, validating and documenting business requirements.
• Translating business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Building and maintaining a prioritised technical backlog.
• Analysing commercial information including budgets, sales results and forecasts.
• Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Identifying issues, risks, benefits and business impacts associated with existing and proposed solutions.
• Supporting solution implementation and testing activities.
• Assessing requirements, scope, viability and priorities to support effective decision-making.
• Identifying potential costs, efficiencies and business savings.
• Working with technical teams to simplify complex information and ensure requirements are clearly understood.
• Supporting business transition, change management and adoption activities.
• Presenting findings, requirements and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Managing stakeholder meetings and maintaining strong relationships across the organisation.
• Working within an Agile delivery environment and contributing to Agile ceremonies and ways of working.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Technical Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience working as a Technical Business Analyst in a complex enterprise environment.
• Previous experience on an eCommerce project
• Strong experience gathering and translating business requirements into user stories, functional specifications and technical backlogs.
• Experience facilitating discovery and requirements workshops.
• Strong business process modelling and process improvement skills.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to understand complex business and technical issues and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Confidence presenting findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Strong documentation and requirements management skills.
• Experience working across large-scale programs or strategic technology projects.
• The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, business units and stakeholders.
