Technical Business Analyst - Store Operations & Supply Chain

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a major retail transformation involving store operations, stock movement, supply chain processes and system integrations.

This role requires someone who understands how stock, transactions and operational data move throughout a retail environment, including between stores, distribution centres, customers and enterprise systems. You will work across business and technology teams to analyse current processes, define future-state requirements and ensure operational needs are accurately translated into technical and integration requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse end-to-end store operations and stock movement processes.
• Document how stock and associated data move between stores, distribution centres, customers and supporting platforms.
• Map processes covering sales, returns, transfers, fulfilment, inventory adjustments and electronic receipting.
• Gather and document functional, technical, data and integration requirements.
• Examine the customer returns journey, including the movement of returned products and information back into store and inventory systems.
• Analyse store-to-store and store-to-distribution-centre stock transfers.
• Identify system dependencies, integration points, process gaps and data-quality issues.
• Develop current-state and future-state process maps, business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate workshops with store operations, supply chain, technology, integration and data stakeholders.
• Work with solution architects, developers, vendors and delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Support testing, defect resolution, implementation and operational readiness activities.

Required Experience

• Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst within a retail environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of store operations and supply chain processes.
• Strong knowledge of inventory, stock movement and retail transaction data.
• Experience with store-to-store, store-to-distribution-centre and customer returns processes.
• Sound understanding of systems integration, APIs, data flows, interfaces and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Experience working with point-of-sale, inventory, order management, warehouse or supply chain platforms.
• Ability to translate operational processes into clear technical and data requirements.
• Strong workshop facilitation, process mapping and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with electronic receipting or digital receipt platforms.
• Experience delivering large-scale retail transformation or integration programs.
• Knowledge of retail fulfilment, reverse logistics and inventory reconciliation.
• Experience working across complex vendor and enterprise technology environments.
