Technical Consultant
Summary
The Technical Consultant works directly with clients to design, deliver, and oversee IT infrastructure, cloud, Microsoft 365, and networking projects, handling presales, escalations, and documentation while ensuring projects meet scope and quality standards.
Salary: £45,000 - 50,000 per year
Requirements:- Previous experience working within an MSP / Managed Services environment.
- Experience delivering IT infrastructure and cloud projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Good understanding of networking, servers, virtualisation and cybersecurity.
- Experience supporting or designing technical solutions for customers.
- Previous involvement in presales, solution design or technical scoping.
- The ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical escalations.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Excellent organisation and project ownership skills.
- A genuine desire to develop technically and take ownership of your work.
- Work closely with clients to understand their technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support presales activities, including technical discovery, solution design, scoping and client presentations.
- Take ownership of technical projects from initial planning and design through to implementation and handover.
- Lead and deliver infrastructure, cloud, Microsoft 365 and networking projects.
- Act as a senior escalation point for the Service Desk, providing guidance and resolving complex technical issues.
- Produce technical documentation, project plans and solution designs.
- Work alongside the Service Desk, Project and Account Management teams to ensure successful client outcomes.
- Provide technical consultancy and guidance to customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to improve client infrastructure, security and overall IT environments.
