Job Description – Technical Consultant, Sophis Invest

Teciem is looking for a Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services CoE team and help leading financial institutions get the most from Sophis and Sophis Invest. In this role, you will work on meaningful client projects, deepen your technical expertise, and contribute directly to the delivery of high-value services across the professional services team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working close to clients, and becoming a trusted expert on Sophis solutions. You will use your hands-on technology experience to improve customer satisfaction, support successful delivery, and build specialist expertise in a high-impact consulting environment.

Summary

Reporting to the Lead Technical Consultant, the Technical Consultant will help clients implement, operate, and improve Sophis and Sophis Invest solutions. The role combines technical delivery, solution design, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement, including but not limited to:

- deploying and configuring the software and surrounding components (scripts, batch jobs, monitoring, orchestration, …)

- learning new features and design/recommend best practices

- training other consultants and clients in areas of expertise

- designing the end state architecture of the solution

- Making the link between business users needs and solution capabilities

- Providing input for the development of standards, tools, processes, documentation and templates to standardize and improve the execution of tasks and to aid training of new consultants

- Being part of special assignments such as performance optimization or seamless integration

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

· A degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

· An education in financial knowledge is a plus (market finance, trading…)

· Previous experience or internship with a financial agent (software editor, bank, asset manager…) is a plus

· Outstanding relationship management and communication skills

· Regular user of MS Excel, and proficient or sophisticated technical skills in technologies such as MongoDB, SQL (on Oracle), XML/XSLT

· Knowledge of additional tools like Jenkins, Nomad, Consul, Kubernetes, Docker, Confluence and JIRA is a plus

· Understand the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

· Good Windows skills (administrator or advanced user)

· ITIL Certified or experience other ITSM systems will be a plus

· Ability to travel and work on customers’ location when required
