We specialise in the design, procurement, implementation, and support of corporate ICT infrastructure solutions including those delivered via the cloud.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant to join our New Plymouth based team.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position working largely across our Enterprise customers.

This position provides technical leadership, architecture, consulting and solution design expertise across the broader ICT ecosystem. The role helps customers define technology strategies, assess current environments, identify opportunities and develop practical solutions that align with business objectives and architectural standards.

As a trusted advisor, you will work across multiple technology domains, facilitating customer engagements, designing solutions, supporting sales opportunities, and leading the delivery of complex technology outcomes. While you may have deep expertise in one or more disciplines, you will possess broad technology knowledge across cloud, infrastructure, networking and security

What you'll do for us

  • Provide strategic technical advice and consultancy services.

  • Analyse customer business and technical requirements and translate them into technology roadmaps and solution designs.

  • Facilitate customer workshops, assessments and discovery engagements.

  • Design and architect solutions aligned to customer outcomes and architectural standards.

  • Develop solution architectures, statements of work, proposals and supporting documentation.

  • Contribute to quotations, customer presentations and RFP responses.

  • Lead the implementation of complex technology solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and quality assurance throughout project delivery.

  • Establish and maintain architectural principles, design standards and governance frameworks.

  • Contribute to fault analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of complex escalated issues.

  • Mentor engineers and project teams through design and implementation activities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes through innovation and technology adoption.

  • Maintain accurate customer, project and commercial documentation.

  • Ensure effective utilisation and accurate recording of project activities and customer engagements.

What you'll bring in your Kit bag

  • Two major certifications such as Azure, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, NetApp, Dell, HPE, TOGAF, ITIL or equivalent qualifications.

  • One or more vendor certifications aligned to your area of expertise.

  • At least 10 years ICT industry experience.

  • Proven experience in solution architecture, consulting and technical leadership.

  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale technology projects and transformation programmes.

  • Strong customer engagement, workshop facilitation and consulting capability.

  • Experience developing architecture documentation, proposals, business cases and statements of work.

  • Confidence presenting solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Strong business and technical writing skills.

  • Expert use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and architecture design tools.

  • Ability to operate as a technical lead across multi-disciplinary delivery teams

  • Infrastructure and Cloud Transformation Programmes

  • Security Architecture, Threat Detection and Risk Management

  • PowerShell and Automation

  • Operational Excellence and Service Improvement

  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and help customers understand the value of technology investments.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a practical and business-focused way.

However, soft skills, customer engagement and a willingness to learn are equally important.
