Team
Mission
You'll manage two pods:
MX Pod – owns the merchant onboarding and configuration experience: onboarding, dashboard, merchant login, merchant configuration, user management, transaction listing, user logs, and internal dashboard tooling.
Internal Services Pod – supports internal teams and operations critical to merchant acquisition and retention.
You will build efficient, healthy teams, own delivery of product commitments, and continuously improve productivity.
Role expectations:
- Technical direction: Own the team's technical standard, OKRs and KPIs; partner with the Tech Lead on architecture and technical debt prioritisation.
- Stakeholder management: Act as lead technical advisor for merchants and stakeholders; lead technical discussions and incident support; upskill Application Engineers.
- Hands-on delivery: Review pull requests, guide deployments, lead sprint ceremonies, support roadmap planning and technical discovery, mentor engineers, and step into the Tech Lead role when needed.
- People & process: Own performance management, hiring, coaching, career mapping, succession planning and internal mobility; ensure balanced team workload and capacity; report velocity and predictability to leadership.
Competencies: What You Bring
Solid technical expertise as an accomplished software engineer, able to lead technical discussions and grow strong teams.
Strong people management experience:End-to-end hiring participation , calibration, career conversations, performance and remuneration reviews.
Payments domain knowledge: comprehensive knowledge of transaction flows, the regulatory landscape, technology, and the business drivers behind them.
Agile competency (Scrum beneficial), using sprint metrics to drive delivery efficiency.
