Technical Expert, Engineering - A/C Config & Tech Disciplines Architect and Requirements Lead

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Manage requirements specifications for assigned work scope from elicitation to verification.
  • Prepare for and obtain validation of requirements by architects, discipline owners, and required technical subject matter experts.
  • Ensure requirements traceability top-down and bottom-up throughout the requirements specification architecture.
  • Support discipline teams with the preparation and planning of requirement verification activities, ensuring verification artifacts are captured and traceable to the requirements.
  • Facilitate and propose requirement changes as they arise and support change board and design review activities as requested.
  • Participate in the conceptual design analysis of various aircraft configurations and lead numerous activities.
  • Act as an integrator/architect in tradeoff studies during the early design phases.
  • Liaise with internal and external partners on a technical basis on configuration design-related topics.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • You have 15+ years of relevant experience in aircraft technical engineering domain(s) – such as flight sciences, loads, aerodynamics.
  • You have good understanding of systems engineering in general. Understanding of ARP4754 principles and their application is an asset.
  • You have some experience with eliciting, capturing, validation and verification of requirements.
  • You have experience in aircraft integration.
  • You have experience working with diverse stakeholders across the company (engineering, program management, certification, senior leadership).
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with different stakeholders internally and externally.
  • You bring solid analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and maintain clarity across disciplines.
  • You communicate technical concepts, project status and risks clearly and succinctly to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • You are passionate about innovating engineering – and aerospace technology in particular – and are motivated by long-term goals.
