Technical Expert, Engineering - Mass Properties - Advanced Design Department

In your role, you will:
- Supervise and support Mass Properties activities of aircraft development projects
- Participate in Mass Properties activities, such as:
- Weight and center of gravity (CG) predictions at various levels of details in support of:
- Aircraft configuration development
- Tradeoff studies
- Uncertainty analysis
- Cost estimations
- Supplier discussions and negotiations
- Etc
- Detailed analysis:
- Mass distribution and inertias estimations<
- Fuel migration analysis
- Buoyancy assessment
- Weight targets definition
- Etc
- Weight and center of gravity (CG) predictions at various levels of details in support of:
- Review and approve Mass Properties deliverables
- Participate in the planning and tracking of Mass Properties activities
- Participate in discussions with internal and external contributors and/or partners as a Mass Properties representative
- Take active role in integration activities as a senior representative of the Mass Properties discipline
- Contribute to the development plan for Mass Properties tools and processes with a focus on continuous improvement
- Provide supervision, guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the Mass Properties team
- Supervise engineering students’ internships.

- You have more than 15 years of experience in aerospace engineering.
- You have more than 10 years of experience in Mass Properties.
- You have participated in aircraft development programs as a Mass Properties expert
- You have a good understanding of aircraft systems and structures.
- You have a good understanding of the aircraft development and certification process.
- You are open-minded, curious, rigorous and methodical.
- You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork and support knowledge sharing amongst team members.
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You approach problem solving with a holistic view.
- You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience
- You have experience with CAD tools (Siemens NX experience is an asset)
- Possess a university degree in Engineering
