Technical IT Project Manager - Cloud & Data

Summary

Manages end-to-end delivery of Cloud, Data, and Integration projects, leading teams and coordinating vendors. Core technologies include Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, and Power BI.

Salary: £75,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 5–10+ years experience in IT project or technical delivery management.
  • Proven experience delivering data, systems integration and/or cloud projects.
  • Strong experience managing external vendors, suppliers and system integrators.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across business, IT and third-party organisations.
  • Experience working within multi-vendor and cross-functional environments.
  • Strong understanding of data integration concepts including APIs, ETL/ELT, data pipelines and system-to-system integration.
  • Good knowledge of modern cloud and data technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory and Power BI.
  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Strong risk, issue, dependency and change management experience.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of Cloud, Data and Integration projects.
  • Lead projects involving multiple systems, platforms and data sources.
  • Coordinate internal technology teams, business stakeholders and third-party vendors/system integrators.
  • Manage supplier relationships, deliverables, performance and contractual obligations.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical delivery plans.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Lead Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies, including sprint planning and backlog management.
  • Work across data integration, APIs, ETL/ELT, data pipelines and cloud platforms.
  • Support projects involving modern data platforms, analytics and reporting environments.
  • Ensure technical solutions deliver against business objectives and agreed project outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear project reporting to senior leadership.
  • Support change management, business adoption and transition into operational teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and technology implementation.
