Technical Lead

Job Description:

We are looking for an expert Technical Lead to define and drive the engineering JIRA ecosystem across the semiconductor development lifecycle. This role will partner with engineering and program teams to standardize workflows, improve defect management, develop automation, and build data-driven solutions that provide end-to-end execution transparency.

The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering expertise with an understanding of engineering execution processes to improve planning, governance, and delivery across multiple organizations.

Responsibilities:

Engineering Process & Partner Leadership

Lead the definition and deployment of standardized JIRA workflows, defect tracking processes, issue taxonomy, and engineering governance across Front-End Design, Verification, Physical Implementation, Validation, Power, Performance, Post-Silicon, Software, and Program Management teams. Work closely with partners to harmonize engineering processes and drive adoption across projects.

Atlassian Platform & Automation

Design, develop, and enhance solutions on the Atlassian platform, including JIRA and Confluence. Develop custom workflows, automation, integrations, and extensions using Atlassian APIs, database architecture, and scripting frameworks to improve engineering productivity and scalability.

Engineering Analytics & Dashboard Development

Develop web applications and executive dashboards that provide real-time clarity into project health, milestone readiness, defect trends, execution metrics, dependencies, and engineering targets. Build data pipelines and reporting solutions using Atlassian data and enterprise engineering databases.

Technical Leadership

Drive architectural decisions for workflow automation, mentor engineers, collaborate across organizations, and find opportunities to simplify engineering execution through automation, analytics, and process improvements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent with 8years+ experience in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience administering and developing solutions on the Atlassian platform.
  • Good understanding of Atlassian architecture, database schema, REST APIs, workflows, permissions, and automation.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in scripting, API development, and database querying.
  • Experience developing modern web applications and dashboards using technologies such as React, Angular, Flask, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong partner leadership skills with experience working across multiple engineering teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Experience within semiconductor or EDA environments.
  • Knowledge of the SoC development lifecycle, including Design, Verification, Implementation, Validation, Power, Performance, Software, and Program Management.
  • Experience integrating JIRA with enterprise engineering tools, CI/CD pipelines, and analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian ecosystem applications such as ScriptRunner, Assets, Structure, or EazyBI.
