About the Role
We are looking for a strong, hands-on Java Technical Lead to drive the design and development of scalable applications for our digital banking platform, Appzillon.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Java developers while remaining actively involved in coding and debugging.
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot and Microservices.
- Build RESTful APIs and integrations using Kafka and other messaging technologies.
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues and maintain coding standards.
- Work with SQL databases, Hibernate/JPA, and AWS/Azure cloud environments.
- Collaborate with architects, QA, product teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Mandatory Skills
- 8–12+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on Core Java, Spring Boot and Microservices expertise.
- REST APIs, Hibernate/Spring Data JPA, SQL and Kafka.
- Experience with AWS or Azure, Git, Maven, Jenkins and CI/CD.
- Proven technical leadership, team mentoring and code review experience.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving and solution design skills.
Important: This is a hands-on technical leadership role. Candidates must have both real team-leading experience and strong practical coding skills.
Preferred: Banking, BFSI, FinTech, digital banking or payments experience; Docker and cloud-native applications.
