Technical Lead / L4 Senior Network Engineer
Summary
Leads enterprise network modernization, including SD-WAN, cloud adoption, and Zero Trust architecture, while designing secure, high-performance infrastructure and mentoring engineers.
Salary: AUD 1000 - 1250 per day
Our Enterprise client is in need of a Technical Lead to support a large program to modernise their network environment and progresses towards software-defined networking, cloud adoption and Zero Trust architecture. This is an opportunity to lead critical infrastructure initiatives while expanding your expertise across cyber security, automation, SD-WAN and Azure technologies.About the role You will provide technical leadership across enterprise network services while supporting the delivery of next-generation networking capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and support of SD-WAN, network, data carriage and Wi-Fi solutions
- Design, harden and optimise network infrastructure to improve performance, resilience and security
- Collaborate with cyber security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen protections
- Develop automation scripts, technical documentation and infrastructure standards
- Mentor engineers and act as the escalation point for complex network and security issues
- Strong Cisco networking experience across LAN and WAN environments
- Hands-on experience with Cisco DNA Centre and enterprise networking platforms
- Expertise in F5 technologies (LTM, GTM and BIG-IQ)
- Experience with Cisco and/or Palo Alto firewalls
- Proven ability to lead infrastructure projects and influence technical outcomes
- SD-WAN or Software Defined Networking experience
- Python or infrastructure automation skills
- Terraform or Infrastructure as Code experience
- Exposure to Azure cloud services
- Knowledge of Infoblox, Statseeker, Cisco SDDC, VMware or Venafi
